I have been up to my ears in work these last few weeks and I am finally getting a holiday! Tomorrow I am moving out of my flat ( my lease is up at the end of the year), putting in a day at the boutique, and then flying out to Auckland on Monday for a week of Christmas festivities with Rachael, Jeremy, Heath (another of Glenda's sons) and the girls. One of my managers gave me a recipe to make Hokey Pokey, a crunchy butterscotch-esque NZ classic lolly made from Golden Syrup, so I am dying to try it out. It's really insanely easy and extremely, addictingly delicious, especially in ice cream. Perhaps Santa will be getting some for his midnight snack instead of cookies this year!
I was at a holiday/birthday party last night and through chatting about popular You Tube videos (random, I know) was told about these iconic Cadbury ads shown in NZ ages ago. They are pretty good, and showcase the quirky Kiwi sense of humor. Warning: will cause intense cravings for chocolate, view at own risk!!
